interview with a laborer
interviewer:
Can you please tell me your name and where you are from?

laborer:
my name is rocio and i am from colombia.

interviewer:
how is life in your country different than here?

laborer: very very different. Well there was more life in colombia and more things to do, we are also very social and i had more friends and family.

interviewer: why did you decide to come to oman ?

laborer: i came to oman for work purposes.

interviewer: Describe how you feel working and living in oman?

laborer: well working and living in oman was a very interesting experience because we met a lot of people and i learned a lot about arabic culture.

interviewer: what are some things that are difficult about living here?

laborer: well i am a little bit isolated from my family and the heat is just too much in the summer.

interviewer: can you tell me about your childhood growing up in your country?

laborer: my childhood in colombia was really fun and we did a lot of outdoor activities.

interviewer: can you tell me a story from your childhood that helped make you the person you are today?
laborer: my mom had 13 children and she loved music so she wanted all of us to study music but not all of us did but my sister and i became musicians and worked in the orchestra.

interviewer: what are the things that matter most to you?

laborer: the most important thing in this world for me is family and health.

interviewer: what dreams and hopes do you have?

laborer: my dream is to be surrounded by my family and have peace

interviewer: what advice do you have for me as a grown up?

laborer: my advice is to have a good education and keep learning new things.
